Sales Joke of the Day (May 18) The Obsession.

A salesman goes to a psychiatrist and tells him, "Doc, I think I'm obsessed with Jigsaw."

"Well let's do a few tests," the doctor says.   He draws a square on a piece of paper and asks the salesman to identify it.

The salesman immediately says "Jigsaw."

Next the doctor draws a circle, which the salesman immediately responds to with "Jigsaw."

Then the doctor draws a triangle, at which point the salesman says "Jigsaw."

The doctor puts away his drawings and says to the salesman, "Yes I do believe you have an obsession with Jigsaw."

To which the salesman replies, "Yeah right Doc, I'm the one with the obsession with Jigsaw!   But you're the one leading me on by drawing all the corporate logos!"

Moral of the story.    True sales professionals know that any obsession can only harm their profession.   Balance is key.   Spend some time with your family.  Take a break from it all.   Recharge your batteries.  Variety is the spice of life.   Don't chain yourself to a desk at the office.   Work to live.  Don't live to work.

"There are no extra pieces in the universe.  Everyone is here because he or she has a place to fill, and every piece must fit itself into the big jigsaw puzzle."   -  Deepak Chopra
