Sales Joke of the Day (May 4) Hearing Problems?

An elderly salesman with a hearing problem, suddenly lost his hearing completely.  Concerned, he went to the doctor, who looked in his ear, picked up a pair of forceps, and extracted a suppository.

"Here's the trouble," the doctor announced, showing it to him.

The old salesman replied, "Thanks Doc!  Now I know what I did with my hearing aid!"

Moral of the story.   When it comes to your customers and prospects, do you have a "me first" suppository stuck in your ears?  True sales professionals know that to be successful they need to really listen to their customers and prospects.  They need to understand things from their point of view.  They need to crawl around in their heads for awhile until they can see the world from their customer's point of view.   True sales professionals know they need to listen well before trying to position how their company's goods or services might be a fit.  Remember folks, you've been given two ears and only one mouth for a reason.  If you use them in the same proportion; your sales career will work out just fine.
